An organization's Mission, Value and Standards individually play very distinct roles. When these are aligned, you cannot help but to feel it in an organization's culture and see it in the organization's results. Together these support the effort to build trust. "Saying what you mean and meaning what you say..." is what separates "bosses" from "leaders".

  • The Mission is the heartbeat of an organization. It is the "why" behind everything it strives to do.

  • The Values are what the organization holds most precious. The values shape culture, sets priorities and supports solid decision-making.

  • The Standards are the expectations and thresholds that keep an organization accountable. When there is accountability, then the Mission and Values are no longer just words on paper. They become actions that can be measured. This results in clarity of direction and credibility in execution.
